There it was. We all know the scene, the one where the new kid steps up onto the school bus and all the other students imperceptibly scoot over in their seats just enough so that there is no room for the new kid to sit down. The new kid is, well, different. Different for no other reason than he’s new. For the other students, at first it’s not necessarily different ‘good’ or different ‘bad’, but the fact that someone is different is enough to cause anxiety. This is a story about a child’s journey from anxiety to salvation.
